By purchasing any services from Sweet Southern Media you are agreeing to uphold the following Terms & Conditions.
INDIVIDUAL PRICE QUOTES
Price quotes are valid for two (2) weeks after they are issued. Once the two week window is up, a new quote must be submitted.
DEPOSITS & WAITING LIST
A 50% deposit is required to add your name to the Waiting List. The remaining 50% payment and any additional charges acquired during the designs process are due at least two (2) days before the estimated launch date of your site. If you do not wish to go to the bottom of the waiting list, there is a RUSH fee of 25% of the total cost of your design, due in full at the time your deposit is made or upon the decision to RUSH your order.
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the starting date may be rescheduled. The project will be placed at the end of my existing waiting list. Cancellations made less than 30 or after the starting date will result in full loss of deposit and can be rescheduled without another deposit payment. In the event of cancellation after your project has already begun, you will lose the initial 50% deposit to hold your place on the wait-list, as well as the full remaining balance due and be liable for full payment of any additional charges acquired during the design process.These projects, if returned to at a later date, are subject to full price unless otherwise discussed prior to cancellation.
Major Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and E-Checks are accepted through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to checkout.
REVISIONS & HOURLY RATES
Because I am paid per project rather than on an hourly basis, communicating and discussing the vision for your site is vital in the beginning stages of development. Three complimentary rounds of edits are included with your design: one for larger “conceptual” changes, and two for smaller adjustments such as coloring. Any additional changes after the three will be billed at an hourly rate of $150 with at least a one half hour minimum.
Requesting changes and moving forward with the design of your site is an exciting process. However, sending multiple emails or messages with one or two small changes at a time is not only time consuming and confusing, but it also goes against your included revisions. It is recommended that you take at least 24 hours from the time that your logo/test site is revealed to look over the design and make notes on what you would want to change before sending a message. This will save time for all of us in the long run and will allow for quicker and more efficient installation time.
Edits requested on a particular aspect of your design that you have given prior approval on (or edits you did not specify when you were given the opportunity to make revisions) or edits made after you design installed on your live site will be made at an hourly rate of $150.
AUTHORIZATION & PRIVACY
At the time of purchase, clients are agreeing to provide Sweet Southern Media with login information for any hosting, domain account or blog account for the purposes of installing and setting up the purchased design and web elements. Your privacy is very important to me. Rest assure that none of your passwords or information will be shared or redistributed to anyone else. If you choose to change your passwords temporarily during the installation process, you may.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The scope of installation for your purchased design includes PHP & CSS coding only. These are the two sections of your design that control the sites functionality and core design. Unless you have made arrangements with me ahead of time and it has been properly added to your price quote, the management of content is not included in the Scope of Services.
“Content Management” includes adding, removing, maintaining or updating posts, pages, navigation menus, plugins or widgets. Setting up menus, adjusting sidebars, etc. are not included. Any information that can be maintained or revised through the WordPress Dashboard and General settings is not included in my Scope of Service.
SITE DEVELOPMENT AND COMPLETION
Clients will be provided with an estimated time of completion when their site design process begins. Clients can view my waiting list 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for constant updates on their project completion date. Clients will be given two-three initial design concepts to choose from. Two (2) revisions per design once a final concept is chosen to develop further. Additional revisions will be charged at a rate of $80 per hour with a half hour minimum. These charges will be invoiced and billed separately and must be paid in full before you site is launched live.
WordPress Designs are built on a test blog and as of May 2012 require a client sign-off and final approval (along with submission of final payment) before being moved to the clients live site. Any changes made once this approval is made will be billed hourly. Clients are required to sign-off on a virtual agreement before moving forward with the installation of a live website. Design graphics are only kept and saved by the Designer for 6 months. After the elapsed time frame, graphics and design elements are deleted.
If you require copies of your graphics, you must notify Sweet Souther Media when you request your quote so it can be included in your price estimate. Any duplication of graphics or design elements or any changes made to any element(s) of your design made after the 36 hour period will be charged at a rate of $80 per hour or $40 per half hour (depending on the extent of the design changes).
Clients will receive 15 days of Basic WordPress & Coding support once their site launches. Any changes, tutorial requests or revisions made to the site after that 15 day period has elapsed is subject to hourly rates.Sweet Southern Media offers Support Packages for an additional fee for any client wishing to have access to WordPress/Coding Tutorials or Revisions after their allotted 15 day window.
Should a client cease to communicate with the designer during the design process (whether expectedly or unexpectedly), the clients design will be placed on hold and reverted to the bottom of the current waiting list. Client may opt to pay an additional 25% of the current cost of design projects to move their project back to the top of the list when they are ready to continue with their design. Sweet Southern Media is not responsible for lack of planning or time management on the clients behalf. Each project is unique and creative in nature, therefore requiring the time and efforts of the designer.
HOSTING, GRAPHICS & DOMAINS
The client acknowledges that Hosting for WordPress.org blogs is not included in the pricing of designs. Clients are responsible for acquiring their own hosting and domain through one of the approved Hosting Providers. The client is solely responsible for having their hosting account and domain setup and the latest version of WordPress installed before the installation of their design.
Client also acknowledges that legal copyrights must be acquired for any outside graphics or photos (not created or designed by Sweet Souther Media) and must be purchased separately. Stock and Licensed Vector Images as well as specially requested fonts not owned by the designer are subject to additional charges that must be paid in full prior to the launch of your site.
Each design comes with a lifetime guarantee for email support for your purchased design only. Support does not include any graphical changes or coding revisions.Sweet Southern Media is not responsible for fixing broken themes and/or blogs as a result of individual tampering and changes made to the theme after final installation is complete. Troubleshooting and design changes made after the final site is launched will be charged at a minimum of $80.00 per hour. No support will be given for designs not originally created bySweet Southern Media.
Sweet Southern Media is not responsible for support or questions regarding your StudioPress Child Theme. Private Licenses with access to the support forums and help services can be purchased through StudioPress.
All of my WordPress Designs are built and designed for cross-browser compatibility. Each design is tested to work in the latest versions of Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Mobile Responsive themes and designs are tested to work on various sized Android and Apple Powered Devices.
Sweet Southern Media can not guarantee proper display on older or newer versions of internet browsers or device software.
Due to the unique creation and graphical nature of our products, NO REFUNDS are available for any reason. Please see our Cancellation Policy for information on cancelling your design.
COPYRIGHT & USE OF PRODUCTS
Sweet Southern Media retains legal copyright to all aspects of design. You, the client, own the copyright to the site/blog content. Outside graphics and photographs are subject to legal copyrights and must be purchased or attained before being included in your design. Sweet Southern Media reserves the right to include a button/logo/text link to our site for display and copyright purposes. A text link and design copyright will be placed in the footer of every design and must remain visible and active during the time that you use our services and design.
I reserves the right to use your design in my portfolio, on my website or on any other promotional products that I deem fit.
In the event that you need additional products (business cards, marketing material, etc.) please contact me first for special pricing on your products. All designs created by Sweet Southern Media MUST REMAIN AS IS and cannot be altered or changed in any way. If you choose to change your designs in any way, you must remove the installed theme, logo and all other aspects of design created by Sweet Southern Media.
All blog designs will be created and designed on the Genesis Framework created by Studiopress and/or a child theme of your choice. Child Themes can be found on the StudioPress Website.
The design process is a speedy process that relies heavily on rapid email and online communication. It is recommended that during the time of your design that you are available to check your email in frequent intervals. There will be instances where sign off and approval are needed to progress. If the client fails to respond in a timely manner, that project will be delayed until a time when regular communication is possible.
I do not, under any circumstance, conduct business by phone.
It is imperative to the timely completion and progression of your design that you remain in frequent contact with me. If a client fails to contact me during the design process within 36 hours (without warning) the project will be placed on hold and reverted back to the bottom of the waiting list. Additional charges and fees may apply.
Sweet Southern Media does not guarantee the success or sales of websites or blogs. Clients are responsible for sale of products and/or services and Courtney Kirkland can not be held liable or responsible for the success of any given site or blog.
As a mother of two, I work Monday-Friday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. I am not in the office on any federal holidays or major holiday events or on weekends. Email will be answered during scheduled work hours. Please allow 24-36 business hours for a response to any email inquiries or questions.
Once a site has been given final approval by a client it is considered COMPLETE. Any changes made to the design after the site goes live will be subject to charges of $80.00 per hour.
Sweet Southern Media reserves the right to refuse service and turn down clientele with offensive, vulgar or profane site content. In the event that I do not feel I can provide the best quality design for the service that you are asking, you will be sent a list of preferred designers whom I feel can better meet your design needs.
Sweet Southern Media builds their sites and graphics to be compatible with the most recent versions of internet browsers. It is not the fault or the responsibility of the designer to ensure that the most recent browser is available to you, the client. Please make sure that all of your browsers are current and up-to-date before the launch of your design.
